Mission Statement

Through education and promotion, encourage the pursuit of agriculture and create awareness of Bolton's agricultural activities. Protect farmlands within the Town of Bolton. Provide a resource for resolution of conflicts with abuttors and Town agencies.

fy2010 goals

 

1. Promote agriculture businesses in town to benefit local farmers, farm stands and farm related businesses.

2. Establish a program to facilitate education for both farmers and residents in Bolton on farming and co-existence.

3. Conduct inventory of parcels of land in agriculture and key attributes of such activity. 

4. Promote agriculture through liaison activities with town boards.

5. Meet quarterly with abutting towns on agricultural issues jointly affecting the towns.

6. Find opportunities for funding which support Agricultural Committee’s activities.
